Private House Society, for the art of relaxed elegance and true sanctuary. We covet authentic, old things and a dash of modern, urban flare –to keep it fresh. We mostly live in old spaces. Our desire leads us to cottages, farmhouses, warehouses, Victorians, city brownstones, mid-century lofts, and, occasionally, a castle. Our personal temple, our sacred nest calls to be lined inside and out with all that is beholdened to one's soul.
The founders of Private House Society are dedicated to restyling vintage furniture, gathering old curiosities as well as true antiques, and creating seasonal folly, artisanal homegoods, and artworks to form a most punk and divine collection to embellish house and garden. A resolve to respect the earth, wildlife and natural resources form the base of our purpose in upcycling. A stamp of style born out of compassion and class –full of glamour, grit, and grace.
We, also, are excited to explore a joint venture with a European furniture making house, the very same creators that have provided furniture to the Russian imperial courts since 1847. Furniture hand crafted from hardwoods deep in the sustainable woods of Romania and styled by Private House Society with vintage upholstery and industrial detail to join the Punk & Divine collection. We eagerly look forward to developing our first line of industrialized Louis XIV chairs.
